Irish cinema continues to flourish each year. While some productions might not gain widespread recognition, an increasing number of Irish actors and actresses are making their mark as global A-list stars. This week, the Irish Film and Television Award (IFTA) nominations were announced, showcasing fierce competition in several categories. For instance, the Lead Actor in a TV Series category features
