Films So Good

Netflix has revealed a photo from the set of “The Thursday Murder Club,” featuring a visit from Steven Spielberg, who posed for a picture with the cast. The movie is being produced by his company, Amblin Entertainment, which acquired the global film rights to the best-selling book by Richard Osman. The film is directed by Chris Columbus, known for “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Harry Potter,” and “Home Alone.”

The movie boasts an impressive ensemble cast. In addition to those in the photo (Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie), it also includes David Tennant (“Doctor Who”), Daniel Mays (“Atonement”), Naomi Ackie (“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”), Jonathan Pryce (“The Two Popes”), Henry Lloyd-Hughes (“Anna Karenina”), Richard E. Grant (“Withnail and I”), Tom Ellis (“Lucifer”), Geoff Bell (“RocknRolla”), Paul Freeman (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Sarah Niles (“Ted Lasso”), and Ingrid Oliver (“Doctor Who”).

Given the star-studded cast, this project is set to be one of the major highlights.

Plot

The story follows a group of friends in a retirement home who gather to solve murders for fun but find themselves caught in a real case when a property developer is murdered.
