There are many documentaries about the legendary Croatian player Dražen Petrović, with “Once Brothers” being perhaps the most famous, highlighting his friendship with Serbian Vlade Divac. For the first time, a feature film will be released, with production company Kinoteka unveiling the teaser for “Dražen.”

“Dražen” will narrate Petrović’s entire life, from his childhood in Šibenik to his tragic death in 1993. Shot in authentic locations like Šibenik, Zagreb, New Jersey, and New York, the film adds emotional depth to the story.

The movie has generated significant interest, particularly among European basketball fans, as Dražen is considered the best European player of all time.

The teaser opens with young Dražen, portrayed by talented Šibenik actor Tonko Stošić, during his early basketball days. Actor Domagoj Nižić plays the older Dražen Petrović.

The film is set to premiere in cinemas on October 22, 2024, which would have been Dražen Petrović’s 60th birthday.
