“Beyond Paradise” series 3 confirmed

It came as no surprise to me that “Beyond Paradise” has been renewed for a third series. Audiences loved the atmospheric vibes of the show, the seamless blend of comedy and drama, and the stunning backdrop of Looe, where the series was filmed. Of course, the standout element was the cast, who displayed excellent chemistry, led by Kris Marshall, one of the best modern British comedians.

According to the BBC, “Beyond Paradise” has emerged as one of the UK’s most beloved dramas since its premiere last year, with the first episode of series two already attracting a staggering 7.5 million viewers. In the second series, fans saw the Shipton Abbott police team crack mind-boggling and mysterious puzzles – including a death during a murder-mystery play on a steam train, a local fishing legend going missing at sea, a medium predicting an arson attack and many more – to ensure the station house remains open for the foreseeable future.

Additionally, mirroring last year’s format, “Beyond Paradise” will feature a special Christmas episode in 2024 before the premiere of its third series.

Tim Key, one of the executive producers, expressed his delight at the fantastic response to series two, emphasizing the love and dedication put into making the show. He promises more laughter, tears, and ingenious puzzles as the story continues in Shipton Abbott. And, of course, he teases the addition of a duck to keep viewers on their toes!

Created by Robert Thorogood and Tony Jordan, Beyond Paradise is a co-commission between the BBC and BritBox International and is produced by Red Planet Pictures
