Films So Good

As expected, the trailer for “Seize Them” was released, confirming the 5th of April as the official release date. Aimee Lou Wood (“Living”, “Sex Education”) has the lead in the film. She is joined by Nicola Coughlan (“Bridgerton”) and Lolly Adefope (“Ghost”). Additionally, the film features Nick Frost, Paul Kaye, and Jessica Hynes.

Directed by Curtis Vowell of “Baby Done” and “Fantail” fame, the period comedy features a screenplay by Emmy winner Andy Riley, known for “Veep,” “Sherlock Gnomes,” and the BBC adaptation of “The Boy in the Dress.”

Plot

Queen Dagan (Wood) is the boss of everything, ruling with a big ego, until a revolution led by the charismatic Humble Joan (Coughlan) brings her down. Now she’s on the run in her own kingdom, with a hefty reward on her head. With the help of Shulmay (Adefope), a former servant hiding a bunch of secrets, and Bobik (Frost), a regular guy who dreams of a better life, Queen Dagan must face all kinds of challenges as she sets out on a crazy journey to reclaim her throne. During this journey, she’ll also have to confront her own flaws. Can she regain her title as Queen and, at the same time, become a better person?
