Strike: Troubled Blood Comes Soon

Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) and Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger) are back. The detective duo sets for series 5 as BBC has confirmed that the show will be returning on 11 December. Burke recently co-starred with Florence Pugh in Netflix’s “The Wonder”, when Holliday starred in the exceptional second season of “The Capture”.

Plot

In this latest adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s crime novels, Cormoran and Robin return to investigate their first cold case. This time, we are in Cornwall where Strike is visiting his aunt, and is approached by a woman asking for help finding her mother, Margot Bamborough, who went missing under mysterious circumstances in 1974.  As Cormoran and Robin investigate Margot’s disappearance, they come up against a fiendishly complex case with a psychopathic serial killer and untrustworthy witnesses. They learn that even cases decades old can prove to be deadly.

But except of murder case, we will see how the relationship of Robin and Cormoran will involve. In the last season the two characters came closer after Robin’s divorce. Will they be a couple or will they remain friends?

Cast of this season includes Linda Bassett, Kenneth Cranham, Cherie Lunghi, and Burke’s mother Anna Calder-Marshall.
