Shetland’s crew thank community after shoot
The first part of shooting in Shetland has now ended, with cast and crew due to return again in June. The producer of the Shetland crime drama has thanked the local community for its support during the show’s filming over the last few weeks. Based on shetnews.co.uk, producer Louise Say said: “Once again, the genuine support of the Shetland community has meant the world to us so a huge thank you to everyone. I am delighted to say our three week location shoot has gone terrifically well – despite the storms and blizzards of the first week! We look forward to seeing you again in the summer.”
Douglas Henshall that portraits DI Jimmy Perez, also tweeted:

The filming for the sixth season was to start in March 2020 but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it could not begin. Filming will continue at various locations at Inverclyde for around a week at the end of April into May.
